Hello,
New guy here from Maryland.
I just posted 5 Model 1890 22 cal rifles and also have 2 model 1906 models that I thought you might like to see. The first model 1906 is serial number 336988-B made in 1913. The second one is serial number 773147 made in the 1930's, from what I can tell. The records aren't to clear in this serial number range. It is one of the later ones made. If you notice, the earlier gun has the smooth forearm where the later one has the fluted forearm. Also, the earlier one has the 30B short base rear sight and the later one has the longer base rear sight. These guns were just a cheaper version of the 1890. They didn't have walnut stocks but were made of beech, if memory serves. It is extremely rare to find any factory "add ons" on this model rifle because if you could afford add ons, you went with the model 1890. Add ons are rare on the 1890s as well. Although it was a less expensive gun than the model 1890, it is every bit a Winchester and very well made. These are both 22 cal S, L, LR.
Thanks
WayneS
