Help with my fathers Model 52

I finally got my fathers Model 52 from storage where it had been stored for years. It looks okay but there is one huge problem....the entire bolt assembly is missing. I took the rifle to my local gunsmith to see if he could track down the parts need but no luck  .

So I am at a crossroads on what to do with it. I looked at a few online gun parts vendors but I am not sure exactly what I need. And I don't to break the bank buying new parts  .

I think it is a B Model made in 1946. My father used it in competition during his early Air Force years.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I hope you can save your Dad's 52. Family firearms heirlooms are a precious part of the past.

There are a few out there floating around. When you do find one it wont be cheap, and may require gunsmithing to adjust headspace.

Any thoughts as to why the bolt would be missing? Sent to a gunsmith for work? Hidden in another spot for security? Seems unlikely that it would have been sold.

There are times when a crucial firearm part is removed to a safe place if children are present. There were no dedicated locks in those years.
