To begin, I also own a Winchester 61 pump .22 which I restored and enjoy shooting whenever I can (I'm a Winchester owner ).
I was looking for an affordable, restorable Winchester 67 or some other early, single-shot, bolt-action when I came across a Remington 33 at a local Cabela's. By all appearances the Rem was very similar to the 67 or the earlier 60. I bought it, refinished the stock, did a cold-blue touch-up of the bluing and have fired it - it's a sweet little gun, very accurate!
Aside from the barrel length: 27" for the Winchester, 24" for the Remington, and different safety types, I really don't see all that much different between the two.
Any opinions out there?
Thanks,
Mark
