Hello everyone, I'm new here and while looking for information on this spring I came across this website. I acquired a model 12 over the summer from a neighbor for mowing his lawn, it seems that the spring on the magazine pin is broken off. I want to put a plug in to reduce the number of shells in the tube to 4, is there still a way to get the plug in or do I have to have that spring depressed to take the end cap off?

If the pin spring is broken off it should pull right out, thats what holds it fast.
