Posted: Sun Mar 10, 2013 4:37 pmI see on line they make a ballistic silver(Polymer) tip for the 30/30, 150 grain only. It is not the jacketed type as made in the past. I have looked in many stores,and no one has them

Silvertip ammunition was manufactured for many,many years and there are lots of people who swear by it.Myself included.
My guess is that it was becoming more expensive to manufacture, so it is being dropped in favour of less expensive to manufacture styles.
