Since I got my Winchester Model 1890 from 1906 a few months ago, inherited from an uncle to passed, I've been looking for .22 WRF ammo for it, without much luck--unless I wanted to pay $50 per box, crazy.

Well, this ammo made by CCI just popped up at Cabelas and I grabbed 10 boxes! If you need this sometimes elusive ammo, grab it now while it's available!

Very good price, considering the last I bought in the 90's was $10.00 a box.

This ammo is back in stock at Cabellas RIGHT NOW! If you need it, get it while you can! This can be hard to find! It sold old pretty quickly last time. I got my 500 rounds (10 boxes) last week and I'm very pleased. :) And you can have it shipped to your local Cabelas for FREE and avoid the shipping charge.

Shooter13, are you sure that shoots .22WRF or is it .22WMR? If it shoots .22Magnum, or .22WMR, it should still shoot the .22WRF, but a .22WRF firearm will NOT shoot .22WMR.

I've been confused on this different for decades--until I got my Winchester 1890 in .22WRF, which will NOT take the standard .22 Magnum, or .22WMR, round.

As I understand it (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong), the .22WRF is basically a .22 Magnum Short (as compared to .22LR and .22 Short).

For purchase, the above link is still valid.

From all the years I have purchased stuff from Cabala's, only a single problem came up.

I was shipped a Winchester 9410 that was junk. I don't know how this piece made it out the door with so many safety faults. The finger-lever rattled from side-to-side and up-and-down. The safety would not go on safe. After much difficulty loading 2 shells, attempting to load a 3d shell would cause the follower to eject or hang the shells. Would have to pry them out. After a long wait and many emails they refunded all my funds including shipping both ways, FFL fee and twenty-dollars for my trouble just as I had requested.

MR_22...

The derringer is marked .22 WMR (Winchester Magnum Rimfire)...and it will shoot .22 WRF (Winchester Rimfire).

Very nice derringer Mr.

I have a stainless American derringer in 45 LC/410. YOM is 1992 in Waco, TX. It's a hand full using either load.
