antique model 1894 restoration

I have an antique (approx. 1897 manufacture) Model 1894 that I would like to sell but I would like to improve its appearance before I do. The stock is in really good shape, but a little dull looking. The barrel and receiver both have quite a bit of blue gone and some unevenness in the coloring. Is there anything I can do without a total rebuild that will improve its value, but will still be reasonably simple for someone that is not extremely gun maintenance or reconditioning savvy.

If the end game is to sell it...I would advise against doing any kind of restoration that would only rob the gun of it's value as a classic in original condition.

Open an account on Gun Broker or Guns America and the gun collectors will come a knockin'...

I agree with SHOOTER13. Also I'm not real sure that you have an 1897 Date of Manufacture there. Did you get a chance to read my reply in your other topic that you posted?

--EDIT: My Mistake. clojacks does have a 1897 Model 94--
