barrel band for 94

Hi,
I have a 1961 model 94 and am thinking of installing a carry sling.
Does anyone know where I can get a barrel band with the threads to mount a sling?
My gunsmith says they are hard to find for the pre 1964 Winchesters.

Different folks have different taste but from my experience, I purchase a barrel band with the sling swivel stud and wasn't pleased with it. It didn't fit to my liking. It touch the barrel on one side but had a large gap on the other side and the finish was mat black almost parkerized look which didn't match my 1951 model 94 at all. I put the original band back on it and used the sling mount recommended by XLIV.
