I inherited a M94 3030, a M1 Garand and a K98 Mauser Carbine. They hadn't been cleaned in many years so I took each one apart and detailed them, one by one. K98, then M94 and then the M1. When I was finished I had a spring left over that I didn't notice until I was done with the M1. I already asked this on an M1 forum and they said it's not from that rifle. I've disassembled all 3 again looking for the home for this spring. Help?

Check the right end in the pic. See if it is a broken off piece of spring.
