Here she is guys, as I took her out of the box when I first purchased it. BTW, it's a 300 WSM.

That's beautiful gun you have. I'm planning on getting a M70 myself, do you do any hunting with it? Also have you added any accessories to it such as a scope?

I bought this rifle because I wanted to have something in case I ever wanted to get into moose or caribou hunting later. For now it serves as my back up deer rifle. I developped a load for it that shoots 165gr. Speer PSP at about 2200 FPS becaus I hunt in thick woodland and cedar swamps. Most shots are under 50 yards.

I have since put some Leupold mounts and rings to hold a Burris Fullfield II with the ballistic plex reticule. This scope gives a nice, clear picture and I am very pleased with it.

Oh! I forgot to mention the Winchester stamped, red, leather sling I bought to compliment this awsome package! :)

I love the classic wood finish that the M70 displays on most models. When i get the funds the M70 and the SX3 are first on my list of purchases. I need a high caliber rifle in my collection, I'm thinking about getting the Safari Express 458 Win Mag. What do you think about the three position safety, do you like that feature and is it helpful?

The 3 position safety is not something that I gave much thought to until I saw an exposé on the Remington 700. Some of the rifles would discharge when folks flick off the safety to unload. That is, without even touching the trigger. Although I never take any safety devices for granted on firearms, the new '70 does provide an added level of comfort.
