Hello, all!

New to the forum here and looking for some information. I am considering picking up an older Winchester, which the gentleman selling says is a Model 1892. However, it is not stamped with Model 1892 (don't know how to post a pic...). He believes the gun was manufacture in 1912.

I've never seen an old Winchester lever gun with no model stamped on it. Any clues to the mystery?

It should be marked on the upper tang if its like any of the others I've seen.
