Can you tell me what years Winchester put the saddle ring on the model 94.

Sorry, none of my books mention when the saddle ring was started...I just checked two.

Thanks for the welcome and the response. I recently saw a post-64 model (1967 I believe) that has a saddle ring. I always thought the saddle rings were only on earlier models.

Saddle rings have been available on the 94 carbine models up to quite recently. Most of the newer rifles that have them are special editions or tribute models of some type, but I have a friend who owns a 1996 mfg. model 94 .30-30 with an engraved receiver and saddle ring, it was purchased in Europe as a standard model. I will try to get pics of it when I see it again.

One model that has the saddle ring is the 1979 Antique edition. Scrolling and the Case Hardened look. Nice shooter. Here is mine next to my 375.
