Hello, I have just got a model 94ae and noticed that the lever moves side to side when it is closed. is this normal and anyway to tighten it up? Also, what is the best way to work the stiffness out of the lever when cocking? thanks

I have an AE 94 from the middle 90's, one of the ones with the cross bolt safety. The lever has a lot of play side to side. It loosened up from being used, smooth now. I just checked my 1973 vintage top eject, it is nearly as loose. I've never had a problem with any of the 94's I've owned and they all rattle. Just the way they are designed, as far as I have ever witnessed.
