Hello I'm new to the site. I've been brought here out of curiosity. I inherited a 1941 model 94 30 wcf. I've had it in my possesion for about 15 years now. I have never seen another like it can't seem to find any information about if it's a custom job or what because I have never seen any metal work done similar to the one I have. I am hoping someone could let me know a little information on it or if anyone has seen one similar thanks.

Nice rifle. Looks as though you took it out of the box today. Beautiful stock and diamond cut hammer, gate and trigger.

Thats a very nice looking rifle. Someone took a lot of time and pride slicking it up. I'm sure wood and metal have been worked on. Please post the serial number so we can tell you its date.

1143913 is the serial number from what I found its a 1941 another thing about this rifle is the blue is extremely shiny it's just hard to tell from the pictures. The metal swirls are any where there is metal that's not normally blued

The jeweling on your gun is done very well, it was probably refinished and taken good care of by a competent gunsmith at some point in its life.

Your gun was made in 1937 and I believe is called a 'transition' example.

Its very nice, not original but you should be proud to own it..

Oh trust me it's my baby it hasn't been fired not that I can tell and I will not ever get rid of it. Any idea how much it is worth though since it's probably been refinished I want to insure my guns. I've been told the right buyer may pay 2500 for it but not sure how accurate it is I don't know a lot of people into old Winchester that's why I joined here so someone with more knowledge on them could let me know more Information on this piece. There are several sources for date of manufacture (DOM). Some more accurate than others. Polishing room records and proofing records usually a little more precise.

Your insurance value is easily found with a little research on completed auctions. Refinished guns dont achieve the same bids as original, so your estimate is a little high..it would be safe to say about half that.
