new member 94 44 mag question

First post and need help. I have been looking for a 44 mag lever action. Today I came across a very nice model 94 with a 24" barrel in 44 mag. it was checkered. It was priced at almost $900 which is generally high for a 94, but I saw one similar on gunbroker.com sell for $1375. Not sure if there is anything I should check for on this rifle that may make it special. The serial number was 6461000. Any help or info is greatly appreciated.

Might be a little high. Nothing really to look for. Marlins are a little less but more of them. Do your homework on completed auctions, that will give you more confidence in making an offer.
As a general rule, asking prices online auctions are usually a little higher. They make great deer and black bear guns. 44 |

Hello qball, welcome to the site. I had a friend in MS called qball. He owned a country store/bar and was a top local pool player.
Price is related to how much sleep you lose after you let one get away. I pay more for condition and less for just a gun. Own several guns that I paid over book with no regrets. GOA Life Member
