Just bought my first rifle, and it is a 1973 Winchester Model 94 in 30-30. Is it normal for the firing pin to move back and forth when loaded or unloaded? When I shake the gun it clinks back and forth inside and sounds like something is loose to me. Seems to work fine though..

Welcome to the forum Awek99. Have read about floating firing pins, but nothing as dramatic as yours. A call to Winchester might bring joy.
