Hey all.

First post. I've had a 1977 Model 94 Wells Fargo Commemorative since I was 14. First rifle my dad bought me. Was saving it till it was worth something....that never panned out so I shot it for the first time last weekend. First off. WOW!! WOW WOW!!! Love it. 1 inch group at 50 yards my first time ever shooting it. What an amazing rifle.

But....my eyes are not 14 anymore. 100 yards with the buckhorns was a blur of middle age disappointment. So...

I am looking, inquiring, soliciting the purchase of a vintage redfield peep sight for it. The williams look to "new" on this old rifle. Want to keep it era appropriate. And the Lymans look cheap.

Anyone know, other than surfing ebay everyday, a source for the old Redfield model 70E, 80E or 120E for the model 94s?

Any peep is good for old eyes!! Lyman or Marbles on the tang is a good look! Ol Deuce

Thanks Ol Deuce. I think the issue with the tang sights is the commemoratives have engraved designs or wording on the tang. At least mine does and only one tang screw. My receiver however is already tapped for the side mount peeps.

Never gave much thought on the commemoratives tang Both mine have the extra screw ! I understand now!!!! Post a picture when ya get it mounted!!!! Ol Deuce

My 1977 Winchester Model 1894 chambered in .30WCF is a top eject also...and I have hunted and dropped many a whitetail with it... and it's iron sights... here in the hills and valleys of Pennsylvania.
