I'm not sure why this article is titled "Smoothing the action..." - it's really just about disassembly and cleaning. Polishing an action is a much more deliberate activity, and can noticeably smooth the action of a gun. I'd like to see an article on where to polish the action on a '94.

That's closer, but still not very descriptive. What I'm looking for is a pictorial (or video) on which parts to polish and where. Here's an example for a Marlin 336 action:

Take a flat file and take the top edge of the hammer off at about a 45 degree angle. That will smoothen up the action. You can also back out the screw a little bit on the leaf spring to relieve some of the spring tension.
