Hi All
Looks like a great site !
I bought a m94 in ’96, love the thing, but I have been trying to put a birth date on it ever since to no joy.
See mine has a prefix of “V” before a 6 figure number, just recently I have found out that there was a model made by Winchester and sold in a department store in America, rifle was branded “Ted Williams”, seems these rifles had a similar serial number and started with a v prefix, but no “Winchester marked on them at all, Mine on the other hand has Winchester marked on the barrel and buttplate.
Do you think that it is possible that there was some how just some sort of mismatch in the factory ?
Would like to know how old this rifle is somehow, definitely after 64 and before modern “safeties “
This rifle is
Top eject
I think the terminology is rebound hammer , although it cant be held back at ½ cock.
Glossy hardwood stock, not walnut
No for stock cap like the TW have .
Barrel doesn’t overhang the feeder tube as much as the TW do.
Non ramped forsight.
Any thoughts?
Mark
