I bought this 1950 270 wcf and the seller claims it to be original, but the white inlay stripe makes me question it. Can someone help?

Thanks Skinner.... I guess the other concern is that it doesn't say Super Grade on the drop plate like I have seen others have. Did some Supers not hav this done? Also. It doesn't have the usual checkering...

Also, notice the stock seems to be squared off at the receiver? I haven't seen that before, I know weatherbys are like that.

Super Grades had a specific checkering pattern that was used.

I paid $800 for this gun and just want to know what I have and if I paid too much.

After some study, I'm thinking its an after market Fajer stock. How much does that kill the value?

Wood looks to be after market but very nice. I don't do values. If the right person comes along he may pay good money without the wood being original if that's what he likes.

I am surprised at the non committal responses.

That IS a non original stock.
And $800 with those drilled side mount holes is too much
