I ran across a model 9422 .22 S L LR at a local shop. It is in 95% condition, all metal and bluing is perfect and the detraction is some small dings in the stock. Checkered stock and has original box ( a little rough) it dates 1974. Can anyone tell me what a fair price would be on this?

Welcome to the Winchester Owners Forum !!

The Model 9422 was introduced in 1972 and came in many different configurations. NRA grading from my 2012 Gun Digest Gun & Prices Manual indicates the following for a basic model:

EXC=$700....VG=$625...Good=$550...Fair=$325...

You could easily get around $600 in my area if its in "good" condition. Very good would be up to $750. I own two 94 22's. One is a 22 mag XTR with fancy wood & checkering, the other rifle is 1974 with a plain walnut stock chambered 22 s, l & lr. The magnums usually get an extra $50-$100 over the regular 22's and an XTR checkered model also adds around $100. I wont ever part with either of them, they are great little rifles. Good luck, hope you get a good deal on it !
