Hello everyone. I just purchased my first model 70 and can't wait to put a few rounds through it. It is chambered in 35 whelen. Supposedly it is a factory special. Is there anyway to determine if this is a true statement? The serial number is weird too...GXXXXX not the usual GXXXXXX.

35 whelen at 100 yds. That's 1/2" steel plate btw
