300 win mag expectations
Posted: Tue Mar 11, 2014 3:40 pmI have a 300 win mag super grade model 70 on order. What can I expect in accuracy out to 700-1000 yards. I do reload, so I can tailor my loads to fit. Provided I have quality optics, has anyone seen good results out that far? If not, what sort of accuracy do you see and at what yardage?
I called Winchester guns and they tell my 1 1/4 inch groups at 100 yards. That doesn't really sound impressive to me given my AR 308 can bullet hole at that range.
