Mod 70 Featherweigh [sic] 270 cal rifle

I have an incomplete barrel demarcation on my 270 cal. Featherweight. The "t" at the end of "Featherweight" is silent - because it is not even there! It had to be a Factory omission as it is not wear and tear that erased the "t". It is unusual to see it spelled as "Featherweigh".

I do not believe such an omission would increase or decrease its value, although it is Unique and certainly an Identifier, which one has to look closely to see.

No "t"...almost no "ht". One out of fourteen pics taken that came out in focus. No "hocus focus" on the lighting to hide the text either.

interesting....looks as though the die made light contact on the trailing strike. Calling Winchester?

Naw. I have owned this rifle for well over 2 and 1/2 decades already. I see no reason to mess with "the little stuff". After a lot of Trial and Error, she shoots well, has taken a Lion's share of game, and likes the trips to the range. She is no Safe Queen and got her character honestly.

Post '63, unless there is some special collectibility factor, the value shouldn't be affected.
My take

Haven't we all. I see misspellings, punctuation, and grammar errors in printed text all of the time. This one though is a Manufacturing error.
