Ran down a 1971 Model 70 22-250

After looking for a long time for a 220 swift M70 and finding them over priced for my needs, I stumbled upon this gem in 22-250 at a project price point.
It is a 71 model I believe, not the heyday of M70 production I know, but should be a good rifle for me.
I will probably refinish the stock myself and hit it with some benmatte finish. There may actually be some nice wood under there. May eventually get a nicer stock for it as well, but will have to wait and see. After I refinish the stock I will also need to either get a rear sight or (more likely) mount a scope on it.
Plan is to use this as a plinker rifle and coyote or varmint gun. Won't be using it for prarie dog hunting or anything like that where I live, but lots of coyotes, hogs, skunks, coons, etc.
