Model 70 Varmint

I recently acquired a Model 70 Varmint in 22-250. I'm curious if it is all original. It has a matte receiver, with a 25" blued heavy barrel. Odd thing is a bright and shiny bolt body and handle, no knurling and a matte bolt shroud. I'm wondering if someone replaced some parts or what. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Ser # starts with 856 so that puts it in the 1967 area. TIA
