Model 70 Sporter Varmint questions

I have a opportunity to buy a new in the box 1985, model 70 sporter varmint 243. Its my understanding this model was only produced a couple years in the mid 80's. Id like to add the rifle to my Winchester collection but like to hear your opinions on the rifle and a possible top dollar price to pay. Itll be a shooter like all my Winchesters so accuracy comments are appreciated.

My LGS has a used one on the shelf for under $400
Wood has marks from use but the blueing is excellent I am one gun away from Happy
