Please excuse me if this post is a duplicate.. but I need to find a good place to find quality parts for a pre-64 model 70 30-30.

I purchased a gun off of Gun Brokers.. It was a graduation gift for my son. I'm happy with the purchase but. someone filed the hammer some to 'help' the cycle. Of course the gun does not push the hammer back every time now..

Put the gun in a local shop and they have not been able to find the 'proper part'. So I'm looking now and if I can find it will have it installed. I gogle places but seen to get lost in all the sites.

I cannot believe that it takes over 6 months for a quality gun shop to find a hammer.

I have been around guns some.. but I'm definitely learning a lot all the time.
