Hi Guys,

New here and need a little help. Today I bought a Win. M70 Stainless Classic in .375 H&H Mag. The bolt has a pivoting device just behind the left recoil lug---what the heck is it?

I would like to find out when it was made but Oldguns comes up as 1948-no way! My serial # is G970XX what do you think? Can you help me out?

Thanx in advance!

Are you talking about the safety?

No it's toward the front of the bolt directly behind the left recoil lug.
