I found a New Haven CT Model 70 Classic Stainless 30-06 on line, but something strikes me as odd. The barrel is clearly stamped -Classic Stainless- but it has a black checkered composite schnabel end stock. These two details don't seem to jive. Were featherweight barrels stamped as such? My current Classic 70 Sporter is stamped -Classic Stainless-.
Thanks
Stainless Classic or Featherweight

G`day from Australia.
Sounds like you`re looking at the same rifle that I have here. The only difference being, that mine is .270Win. A nice light rifle for walking / stalking. Cheers. |
