 Here's my old 1866 that I got when I graduated from SMU in 1971. I have replaced the locking block and made new pins and it still shoots. It was mf'd in 1866 and has Henry markings. I load BP loads for the 44/40. I've shot deer and bear and other game. One was a home invader who challenged me to a quick draw. A 22 auto against a rifle? He dropped the gun and came at me with a machete. Too bad for him.

Nice ole '66. Now, I'm wondering how many other miscreants this lady has challenged and won?

From The Untouchables....'Don't bring a knife to a gun fight'. Your perv probably didn't see the movie.

Obviously, I still have the machete. My ole '66 hung over the mantle ever since I can remember. Our old house had bullet holes in it from indian raids and rustlers. If it could only talk.

Congrats on owning such a beautiful and collectible rifle. It looks completely original and untouched.
Thanks
