found this forum when I did the product registration on my new 1873 .357/.38 .
I love leverguns and have had several Winchesters in the past as i'm no spring chicken.
Currently my Winchesters are an old Mod. '94 Lg. Loop Carbine in .32 Win., and the '73 which I plan on burning a lot of rounds thru before my time's up
Also had a '97 takedown 12.gauge mfd. in '23 that i'll re-inherit someday (long story) that I used hunting and bagged my last deer with in '04.
I'm not a hunter anymore, nothing against it, but, been there, done that, i'll shoot targets now as it's a lot cheaper and easier on the old body.
I'm in an odd spot in N.E. Bama with 35 miles between myself and the closest shooting range, but it's a National Forest Range and pretty nice.
If I didn't live in the middle of a small town I could shoot on my own property anytime I like, but between working a crazy shift and most of my friends also being "townies" it's not as easy to find a range-day as it used to be.
at one time I was a Pro Gunsmith owning and operating my own shop, specializing in Antique, Classic, and Obsolete firearm repair and restoration, (along with standard modern arms smithing), but am a decade out of the business as the economy just wasn't "there for it" in this region/area.
anyhow....that's about it.....glad I found this forum!
