Hi guys thanks for the approval. I was looking for help with my Mossberg 402 and found the forums over there and eventually drifted over here. My only current Winchester is my grandfather's Model 42 that I got after he passed last year. It's in excellent shape and has a Cutts compensator that it was sent back to the factory for. The serial number puts it in late 49 early 50.
As best as I can tell I think it's a field model as it doesn't have a rib on the barrel and no checkering on the pump. If you have any input on that I appreciate it. I also have 3 boxes of vintage ammo to go with it.
