Greetings from the Republic of California

Born and raised in Arkansas, 2 years in Okinawa, 3 years in New Mexico, 15 years in Texas, 10 years in Wyoming, 2 years in Pennsylvania and now here in the high desert of Southern California. My wife has relatives in California, what can I say. I really did not have a full appreciation of what I was getting myself into here in California. I’m trying to make the best of it though. Oh and I'm a 63 year old Vietnam era vet.
