Model 70 short vs. long action
Hello guys......
I just came upon this website and am brand new here today. I had a ? in my head for some time now, and figured this is THE place to get it answered.
I'm in the very early stage of putting together a rifle chambered for .358 Win. If using some of the heavier bullets available, the OAL of the cartridge can get quite long and require a sizable magazine. I would like to get by with the short action, but would get a long action if that's what it takes to make use of the longer bullets. I wouldn't use anything larger than 250 gr.
Does anyone have experience with the model 70 in .358 Win?
Thanks
Jim
