Hi Winchester fans. I recently inherited an old Winchester Model 1890 in .22WRF made in 1906 from my wife's uncle. The barrel seems to have been replaced at some point past 1919, as it has a later patent date and says "Model 90" instead of "Model 1890". I also got a bag with 1000 rounds of .22 WRF.

I took it out shooting a couple of weeks ago and it's an awesome shooter. The sights are already dialed in perfectly. My 14-year-old daughter enjoyed shooting it as well. It's certainly a keeper that's almost 100 years old.

A previous owner has etched his name on one side and his initials on the other, which is kind of sad, but I don't mind so much, as I'm more interested in shooting and owning the gun than selling it. I just figure that's the gun's name now, so I call it Bob.

I've also got a more recent Winchester pump in .22LR, but I forget the model. It doesn't look like the 1890 at all. I've had it for maybe 5 years and I'm guessing it's from somewhere between the 50's to the 70's.

I've also got a Winchester 94 in 30-30 that I've had for about 15 years, and it was made in 1976.

Glad to join another gun forum. :) I can't get enough gun talk, it seems.
