Decided I would register today. Look forwards to learning about a couple Winchesters I inherited from my late father.
I'm not new to firearms, my primary knowledge is Glock and Colt AR'. I know nothing about the Winchester model 70's.
I'm hoping someone here would be able to fill me in especially on the model 70-222 REM- which is tamped on the barrel.
Thanks
Tim

Thanks guys. In the sub-forum, where it lists model 70's different chamberings, it does NOT list trip-duece or .222. I added photo's of mine. It seems there are not many of these floating around. Not Winchester anyway. There are some model 700 Reminton's out there, but, I only found one model 70 in .222.
This one is in pristine condition. Appears as it was hardly ever shot. I think it's a 1970's make by the Winchester serial number look up.
