Hi I have a M12 problem...

I’ve been shooting Winchester M12 shotguns since I was 13 and trust me, that was a day or too ago. I started out with a M12, 12gauge, I purchased from my uncle for $63, it was I believe a 1927 model someone had put a cutts on. I hunted with it for over 30 years and still have it.
Then a had a brief period where I was looking for something lighter and went to an O/U but that never felt right to me. Then one day I was in Cabala’s and there on the used gun rack was a very tired looking 16 ga. Model 1912. I bought it, located some short shells and hunted with it for a couple of years.
Then I stumbled upon another old Model 1912, this one was in better shape and had been opened up for 2 ¾ shells. It became my go to shotgun for a number of years and still gets a lot of use early in the season.
Then a couple of years ago I came across a 1954 M12 mod, also in 16ga that appeared to be in great shape. I say appeared to be because the shotgun looked (still looks) great, however in my haste to pay too much money for it I overlooked a couple of things which cost me yet more cash at Wright’s to have straightened out. However like one of my hunting buddies said when I was complaining about the price, “so you think they’ll build a new one for you anytime soon”?
Last year, the same Uncle I bought the original M12 from that started this entire thing gave me his 1963 20ga M12 he’s hunted with for years. It’s in pretty good shape considering he’s hunted with it (including chukar) over those years. He had some Briley thin wall chokes put in it at some point. He still hunts only he carries a Browning Superposed now, he’s 84 this year.
Also, I have his original shotgun, he bought new back in the late 30s a Model 37 which I shoot occasionally to remind me what recoil really is.
