Just ordered some new furniture and am going to restore my AK to its classic wood look. The new set is Romanian and comes with a wooden lower hanguard that has a foregrip built in...

I don't yet know what condition the wood will be in and may need refinishing, but it should be fun either way. I guess I just needed another project...

Yessir,

You know I'll keep you posted. The stock set shipped today, so hopefully I'll have it for the weekend. I'll be working up in NYC this week and it'll be a great weekend project when I get back. I've got my fingers crossed that the wood is in good condition and the finish is clean. It was surplus, so you never know with that stuff...

I had to completely strip and refinish the wood. It came in very dark and almost grey, looked nothing like the photo above. In any case the job came out great...

I'm really diggin the new look and I don't see too many AKs with the wood foregrip built into the handguard...

There has to be a few Winchester Owners out there that also own an AK47 or ComBloc clone that would like to share a picture and the story of the weapon...I know I would like to hear about it !!

Thanks!

Yeah, they're a lot of fun. Not much of a tack driver, but it works wonders for chucking lead down range.

The T6 and the ACP fit like a glove, but the buttpad was designed for a standard/fixed AK stock so took a little modification to fit. Well worth it though. My shoulder is a lot better off now when I'm lettn em fly. I really like the set-up.

Have you heard of a bump fire stock

I have heard of the bumpfire stocks, but I'm usually leary of buying that kind of stuff. They may be legal at the time of purchase, but I don't like the idea of the ATF knocking on my door. My trigger finger works fast enough for me...
