Does anyone have any experience with this shotgun? I have one that is a safe queen and I sold another one that was a shooter 2 years ago. I wish that I hadn't sold it now, but a friend was in need of a shotgun for dove shooting. The Super X1 has achieved kind of a "cult following" especially among target shooters.

No, I'm not familiar with that model...

Care to share some pictures...I've never seen a "queen"...all my guns are shooters ! ;)

I've owned several and still have one in my collection. Undeniably the best built auto ever built. All the parts are made of steel, no aluminum or plastic, and they are very comfortable to shoot. The precision of the bores and chokes are exceptional as well. I have a couple of Beretta autos but the Super X1 is my favorite.

Yes, I have a Model SX-1 from 1974. 28" bbl with modified choke---it's a beautiful gun and very well made. A bit on the heavy side but that's why trapshooters like it. I prefer it for clays but prefer my Model 59 for carrying in the field.

You should check the status of the recoil buffer before shooting yours---these tend to degenerate with time.
