Recently got a 12 with two barrel assemblies. (1) 30 " full w/ solid rib (2) 28" CYL./plain All matching numbers. I am under the understanding that the CYL. barrel assy. is the more rare of the two and would increase the guns value. I talked with a dealer in Kansas and he will pay a premium for the gun because of the cyl. barrel. Found that the cyl was not offered after 1950 or so. Only m&p. Any help on this issue ?

Cyl. was offered on M12s from the very beginning. The Cyl. bbls. are definitely worth more. You don't see a lot of them but I wouldn't call them rare either.

Thanks, other than the 20" barrel guns ,I think I have only seen one cyl in the last 100 or so guns I have seen and it was a 30" gun. I think "scarce" would be a better term. Mine has the original corn cob forarms, but not the butt stock, I believe.
