Grandson has a model 12, 16 gauge with a short chamber. Remington 2 3/4" shells seem to work and eject just fine. I have read that standard shells in a short chamber was ok as long as the ejection port would handle the fired length. I'd appreciate your experience with this.

I have a Model 1912 made in 1915 that is chambered in 16 ga. It has a 2 9/16" chamber, that is what 16 gage shells were built as until about 1920. Find some 16 ga. that have a roll crimp instead of the folded star crimp, they are a tad shorter even tho labeled 2 3/4"
