1949 Two Pin Milled Rib
Pauline's post got me thinking, why not post a few pics of my Model 12, 2 pin milled rib trap, 1949 vintage. I had just gotten it back from a good friend of mine, who refinished the wood. For some reason the "A" carved wood developed "cracks" in the finish. Maybe they used varnish or shellac or something similar 60 years ago at the factory? He also filled in the lettering with gold filler, " (for lack of a better term). All in all a great looking Model 12, and the pics really don't do it justice, as the wood has a fine depth and "fire" in the sunlight. Really a prime example of the gunmakers art here in the U.S.A!

I don't think that the ventilated pad is correct for the year, but it came with the gun when I bought it, and i wanted to keep it as original as possible.
Thanks for looking, Rodbuster.
