Found a 54 at a yard sale. First glance thought it was pre 64 m70 ..

Then I realised someone put a featherweight bbl on it. So I ended up getting a nice 308 for a hundred bucks :-)

I was mistaken..its not a featherweight..just regular m70 bbl screwed on.

Sorry, my camera skills are limited at best. I could help bur notice the checkering is stamped. Is that normal on a gun this age?
