A 1917 Enfield in a sporter stock. Possibly made by Winchester as they were one of the contractors. |

It is indeed a Winchester manufactured (Aug. 1918) U.S. Rifle, caliber .30 M1917 and otherwise know as an Eddystone, 1917 Enfield, P17, American Enfield etc...
This piece has a Fajen sporter stock though the metal is all original. Still shoots minute of white tail, mule deer, moose and elk Certainly my favorite rifle. Hoping to post more pictures today of the rest of my Winchester boys/family. When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk. Tuco

Well I just tried to upload more pictures and I keep getting this massage; Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached. What does this mean?

My subjective thinking. There are no bad Enfields or Mauser actions.

Will I use this photo editor cause photobucket has SO MANY ads and cookies that are downloaded to your computer it is unreal!
I always downsize my photos to 250 and they are always clear and concise and no issues downloading them. Just a thought. https://www.freeonlinephotoeditor.com/ Noli Me Tangere

I'm thinking I like your thinking And I do believe that the 1891 Mauser is very possibly the smoothest, slickest and sveltest of them all. Not to forget to mention that the 7.65x53 is a dandy cartridge too. When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk. Tuco

Thank you CWG. I cropped and still get the message; Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached. It is a little stumping when I uploaded one picture but am failing with the rest at the same size??? When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk. Tuco

Another Photobucket problem. Photos disappear without rhyme or reason.

Photobucket is really bad anymore...
Try Imgur... { Photos here should be no larger than 600x600 pixels. } |
