Good day. I am from south africa and have a 270 mod 70 winchester featherweight. Im currently battling to get my grouping right. The scope is mount by a gunsmith and all screws are tight. Have adjusted the trigger to be more soft, dont know if this could be the cause. I have remington core lock 150 grain ammo. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. It is very possible that your rifle does not like that particular load. Can you try any others?

Thanks. Will try. I did some research and it seems as though i have tightened the action screws incorrectly when I adjusted the trigger . The front one at the barrel should be very tight, the back one slightly tight and the middle one just tight enough not to fall out. I have not done it so and will correct it.

Used to get better grouping with PMP ammo so will go back

The screw tension can make a difference. Hope it all works out for you.

Went to the range with the centre bolt very loose and got less than 1" group. Sorted! The best grouping I got with this gun!
